GUEST SERVICES PART-TIME POSITIONS

Members of the Guest Services staff are responsible for security screening, ticket scanning, ushering and providing guest service support. Event staff are on the front line people creating remarkable experiences for our guests!

Our primary duty is to serve guests; however, staff members (based on assignment) may be able to view games or events while they work.   Other benefits include:

  • Complimentary game tickets (As available -  a pair of tickets annually to: Football, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Ice Hockey, Women’s Gymnastics, Wrestling, Men’s Lacrosse and Baseball.)
  • Paid training programs

Application / Interview Process - Applicants MUST attend an Open Interview Session to be considered for a position. There is no “waitlist”.  The most convenient parking is in the Scarlet Lots adjacent to the Schottenstein Center on the north side.  Pay to park by using the ‘Pay by Plate’ machines or through the ParkMobile App.  Enter the Schottenstein Center through the Northeast Rotunda - facing the Longaberger Alumni House located across Olentangy River Road.

Applicants are interviewed in the order that they arrive and interviews last 15-20 minutes.  All applicants have an equal opportunity to be hired.  Applicants will be notified via email whether they are or are not being offered a position.  Employment is conditional pending a criminal background check and attendance at a mandatory New Hire Orientation training.  

General Requirements - Applicants must be 18 years of age or older; be able to remain in a designated position which may include standing for several hours, communicate and be approachable, work with a diverse group of people, possibly work outside and follow instructions. Applicants should be available for 20+ events per season and must attend training sessions.

All staff are required to pay a nominal uniform fee.  Guest attendant staff are paid, part-time positions that participate in the OPERS retirement program. If you've retired from OPERS, you should check with your retirement plan before applying.
